This Mother’s Day, we celebrate mothers everywhere.
At LARVOL, we are truly a global team that celebrates each of our unique Tiger teammates and the talents they bring to work every day. This week, as many countries, including Australia, Canada, India, Japan, and the United States, celebrate Mother’s Day, we’re focusing on the moms that make us stronger.
We have a workforce that’s 74% female, including many mothers. And mothers are an important part of our leadership team. As a company that’s always been remote, our flexible work model makes us a great choice for parents who need to juggle household and work responsibilities.
This Mother’s Day, we wanted to celebrate mothers everywhere. We asked our team to think about the role of mothers in their lives, whether they were their own moms, grandmothers, or friends and family who filled that role for them. We wanted to know how our Tiger team had been inspired and shaped by all of the moms and mother figures in their lives. And we’re glad to share some of their terrific answers with you.
“Mothers are magicians & superheroes. They turn pain into hope, hardships into lessons, and tears into laughter.” —Preethi, HR team
“My mom taught me that you have to be resourceful. She also taught me that if you don't know how to do something, you just have to apply yourself and learn how to do it.” —Aviva, VP of Operations
“My mom has inspired my career by teaching me from a very early age that the most important contribution we can make in this life — and the greatest success we can enjoy — comes from helping others achieve their goals.” —Deepika, KOL analyst team
“My mother is my inspiration. She is a working mom and she managed to balance her career and personal life to take care of me and my brother.” —Brindha, VERI analyst team
“My mom is my best friend. She is so encouraging and supportive, and pushes me to help me reach my potential!” —Melissa, VP of HR
With such amazing mothers in their lives, it’s no surprise that our team can accomplish so much. And when we asked teammates who are working mothers about their own experiences balancing work and family life, they had some inspiring words too.
“The best thing about being a working mother is that your child learns to be independent and responsible from a younger age.” —Usha, KOL analyst team
“Sometimes the best thing you can do for your children is to take care of yourself.” —Aviva, VP of Operations
“Being a working mother has made me a better professional by helping me manage time better, multitasking, and remaining calm under fire.” —Aditi, NRD analyst team
“I am fortunate to have a kid who understands my role as a working woman and as a mother separately.” —Deepthy, Ontology analyst team
“My kids make me laugh even when I’m exhausted, under-caffeinated, and itching for some grown up time.” —Deepika, KOL analyst team
“I love how my kids can see me as a role model of being a working parent.” —Melissa, VP of HR
So, this Mother’s Day, whether you’re a mom who works inside or outside the home, or you’re someone who fills the role of a mother for those around you, we salute you and we thank you. You are always loved and appreciated! Your impact will travel farther than you know, years into the future. And we extend special thanks to all of the Tiger moms who help LARVOL succeed every day. As Usha from our KOL analyst team says, “Mothers are eternal.”
